Simon’s Town is a suburb of Cape Town and a good deal quieter than Cape Town itself so if you’re all partied out (or not the 24/7 party type) then it’s a great base for your holiday. We have no parking hassles and no crime problems - and the centre of Cape Town is 45 minutes away by car or just over an hour by train. Simon’s Town Backpackers is a great base for your Cape Town holiday. You can reach all the great sites of Cape Town easily and the beauty of Cape Point at the Cape of Good Hope, the Cape Peninsula and the famous Penguins of Boulder’s Beach is on our doorstep. At the end of the day you can relax on our sea-view balcony.

  In a car we are:

* 40 minutes from the City Centre

* 40 minutes from the Airport

* 20 minutes from Cape Point

* 3 minutes from the Penguins

* 1 minute from the Railway Station (but you would probably walk)

We’re in the heart of Simon’s Town, only 10 minutes walk (700m) from the railway station. We can arrange Airport pick-ups and drop-offs, bicycle rental, Cape Point Overland Wine Garden Route tours, Shark diving tours, Boat trips, Car hire and BazBus tickets...(We are not a BazBus pick-up/drop-off stop though).
